Introducing our Eye Candy of the month:
Introducing our latest enchanting feature, an inspiring soul who has graciously shared her journey of self-discovery and style evolution. In this captivating blog, we delve into the life of a remarkable individual known as Laura White. From the satin dresses of her childhood to the upscale designer ensembles of today, Laura’s path is a testament to the power of authenticity and courage. Join us as we delve into her experiences, favorite styles, and the places that have become a canvas for her exquisite self-expression.
Let’s start by telling everyone where you are from?
I am a Post WW II, Baby Boomer born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio’s Tremont Neighborhood. The Movie the Deer Hunter was made in my old neighborhood.
When did you first start dressing and how did it come about?
Like many TG’s my journey started out at a very early age. Probably around 4 years old or younger. Back in the early 1950’s, we didn’t have Media to entertain ourselves. For whatever reason, which to this day I never understood, my parents one day dressed me up in my sisters clothes. All I can remember is the feeling of wearing that satin dress. I became imprinted for life.
How did you come up with your Femme name?
My name Laura White was selected from 2 separate people: Julie Christie played Lara in the movie Doctor Zhivago. I selected my last name from Vanna White on Wheel of Fortune.
How often do you dress?
Just about every week I go out into the main stream every Friday and Saturday evening. During the holidays or during Art Basel I’ll go out during the week as well as on Sunday.
Are you married/in a relationship? If yes, are you able to share your female self with your partner?
Laura is a single, independent woman.
Heels or flats?
95% of the time I wear Heels. Most of my High Heels are between 2.75″ and 3 “. During any evening out and about, I’ll probably walk over 4,000 steps. Those 5″ stiletto pumps are great for the bedroom but killers in the main stream.
Favorite places to go when dressed?
My absolute two favorite places to go out to are the Capital Grill inside the Galleria Mall and the Hard Rock Casino Complex in Hollywood, FL. I also love going to the Perez, Art Museums, Lincoln Road Theater, and Broward Center for Performing Arts, Art Basil and Art Miami.
Go to accessories for a night out
My accessories for a night out always include “Painted Nail Tips” and Fabulous Earrings from Glamour Boutique. I also have a large number of necklaces, rings, bracelets, and high end purses. Synchronizing my Basic Dress with the proper accessories is very critical in order to create that high quality finished look .
Who is/are your female role model(s) and why?
Maria Sharapova has always been my number one role model. We are both first generation Ukrainian. She has a very powerful yet also a very feminine, tall body with a gorgeous face. I also love Norah O’Donnell. Her makeup is flawless.
Tell us some fun facts about yourself. What are your hobbies (either when dressed or not), likes, things you do in your spare time, or anything else you would like to share?
I love to play golf. I belong to a Private Country Club. I find Golf is a great counterbalance to being Laura White.
Any stories you would like to share about yourself and your journey?
Shortly after 9/11, I decided to fly to SCC in Atlanta dressed as Laura. Miami International Airport had just finally reopened and the Security People outnumbered the travelers 5 to 1 it seemed. It took a lot of guts for me to fly as Laura during such a high anxiety period.
If you have social media, what is the best way for others to follow you?

Before we go, would you like to send a message to your fellow girls out there or a closing statement.
My personal philosophy is to live in the present as much as possible. I often do a lot of reflecting. 70 plus years ago the world I grew up in was full of hate for someone like myself. Evolution was often painful. I feel very fortunate that I survived all of the social pressures.
