What is a Crossdresser?
Asking “what is a crossdresser?” is a broad question. In the broad sense, a crossdresser is someone who likes to wear clothing normally associated with the opposite sex. But if you were to ask a crossdresser what it means to be one, you would get different answers depending on the individual. Some crossdressers may just wear women’s panties or stockings under their male clothes. Others will dress head to toe in femme clothing. Others still just like the feel of walking in high heels and will only wear ladies shoes and nothing else. So it will mean different things to different people. Those that are new to crossdressing may not go all out to start and may fall into that spot where they will try some panties or stockings and gradually build up to dressing in full femme. This is especially true if this person is unsure about dressing or is not comfortable with anyone knowing. Some start and are off to the races dressing fully femme with makeup, wig and everything else. These people want to create an alter femme ego or want to spend time experiencing a different gender.
How to Crossdress
The main question for beginners is “How to start crossdressing?” If you are unsure or nervous about crossdressing, a good place to start is with some panties, stockings or an undergarment that can be hidden under your male clothes. If you are experimenting more at home, aside from those items, try a pair of heels. Try to stick with two to three inch heels to start and practice walking in them until you feel comfortable enough to try a higher heel.
If you’d like to go further and have a full femme persona, then you will have to get quite a bit more. Start with a dress or two. Find dresses that fit your personality or the personality of your soon to be femme self. Follow that with a nice wig that can either match your current hair color or like we usually suggest, go with a hair color you’ve always wanted. Complete your look with a good makeup job and some nails and accessories like jewelry and a handbag. Once you look at your femme self in the mirror, you will feel so good at the lady staring back at you.

People crossdress for different reasons. Some want to explore their feminine side. Others like how it feels to wear a dress, heels or panties. Others want to have a more fluid identity. Whatever your reason for opening the door to crossdressing, you are not alone and that is the most important thing to know.
