Different Bra Types For Crossdressers

Different Bra Types

With so many options and styles to choose from, the question of “What type of Bra would work for me?” is one we often ask. For crossdressers, we have to also take into account that in most cases, we will be wearing breast forms. Others who go out En Femme without breast forms and just use their own breast tissue have a similar issue as they do want to have some form of breast size.

We often have customers asking us what would work best for them. At the end of the day, it really depends on how you prefer your chest area to look; forms or no forms. Glamour Boutique has got you covered as we have researched long and hard to see what crossdresser bra’s work best for our fellow crossdressers.

Go-t0 bras for breast forms and crossdressers

  • Pocket Bra
  • Underwire Bra
  • Demi Cup Bra
  • Full Cup Bra
  • Shelf Bra
  • Padded Bra
  • Strapless Bra
  • Push up Bra

Now let’s take a deeper look:

Pocket Bra

The pocket bra is our most popular bra as our customers love the way it affords them the ability to not have to adhere their breast forms to their body, while also giving them the jiggle effect when they walk. Nicknamed the “jiggle bra” for that reason, the pocket bra has an opening in the back of each cup so you can slide your breast forms right in. Once you snap the bra in place, you will have some jiggly breasts. Plus the material is sheer in the front for a nice little peek-a-boo for later that night. We often like to recommend a nice blouse with a button or two open to really add to the effect.

Underwire Bra

For those of you looking for some a non-pocket bra with good support for your breast forms, especially if you are getting a bustier pair, the underwire bras is a great go to. The wire bottom adds extra support to your forms whether they have adhered to the body or not. Underwire bras come in various styles (some of which we will get to later), and can also be built in to dress, shirts and tank tops to help with breast form support.

Demi Cup Bra

The Demi Cup Bra is in the Underwire Bra family while offering a little extra. One rule of thumb is that for this bra to work for you, you do need to have your breast forms attached with adhesive as even with the underwire support, the top half of this bra is lower, showing off your breasts to right above the nipple and the cup isn’t as long. WIth straps on the outer end of the bra, this is a great bra to go with a low cut dress.

Full Cup Bra

For those girls out there who like their breasts BIG! The Full Cup Bra offers maximum support for those of you that have larger breast forms. It’s a very popular bra for just that reason.

Shelf Bra

The Shelf Bra is another bra in the underwire family but with a twist. It helps to support the breast forms, but they definitely would also have to have adhered to your body as the shelf bra only covers half or even less of your breasts. This is a true sexy surprise for the bedroom or for your own little secret. This a perfect companion bra to the ultra-realistic Aphrodite Breast Forms.

Padded Bra

Changing gears a bit, the Padded Bra has a foam layer inside that will help to enhance your breast size as well as help give off some extra cleavage. This is a great bra for those of you that have some of your own breast tissue and just need a little boost. If you are wearing small breast forms, this can add a cup size without the need to actually purchase a larger cup size form. Lastly, along with a cleavage creator or a silicone enhancer, this can offer a look that has cleavage and seems natural for those with some of their own breast tissue.

Strapless Bra

So what do you do if you want to wear a shoulderless or cold shoulder dress and need to keep that bra hidden? The Strapless Bra is your answer. The bra’s wide band width in the back helps to offer maximum support. If you are wearing breast forms larger than a C-Cup, we do recommend using an adhesive to keep everything together. Also, part of the underwire family, the strapless bra has some extreme underwire support that is longer on the bottom of the bra than an average underwire bra.

Push Up Bra

Similar to the padded bra, the Push-Up Bra is all about adding cleavage and bust size. This bra is perfect for those with small breast forms or if they have some of their own natural breast tissue. The push-up bra has either a gel or foam padding on the bottom of the cups which pushes your breasts together and upward toward the center of your chest giving off a bustier appearance and amazing cleavage.

With 8 different bras to choose from, there should be something here for everyone. It may take some time to find the bra that works best for you, but we hope with our list you have a great start in finding “the one.”
