What a positive, happy person – we read out Melissa’s email in the office and we were all touched by her outlook on life – you go girl !
My name is Melissa and I’m a part time CD living in Northern California. I’m 5’9″, have brown eyes and usually a brunette, but occasionally I’ll go with auburn or dark golden blond hair. I prefer wearing dresses and heels, but also like jeans, a feminine blouse, flats or boots for casual wear. I mostly use MAC makeup both for the quality and wonderful service at the MAC stores.
I have been dressing on and off since my teens, but only fully embraced it without reservation and guilt in the past two years. I started going out publicly in August 2009 and since then routinely go out in mainstream places such as shopping malls and restaurants. An afternoon of shopping and lunch, or dinner, drinks and dancing at a club with my friends is an ideal way to spend a day. An occasional overnight trip to Reno or South Lake Tahoe for dinner, a show and hanging out in the casinos is a great excuse to be a little more glamorous than usual.
I have never experienced any problems or issues while out, and it is a wonderful and pleasant experience being out in mainstream society as a woman. I admire any woman who is quietly confident and comfortable with herself regardless of her body type, size, or age. While it may be a cliche, inner beauty and strength is as important as outer beauty. Except for a very few people, no one in my male life knows about Melissa; however, I feel blessed and fortunate to be able to outwardly express and embrace my inner femininity on a frequent basis.
My other main passions are music and reading, and I also enjoying traveling around the US and the world. I’m lucky to be able to incorporate music as a big part of my job.
