Eye Candy of the Month: Kristy Nicole

Let’s start by telling everyone where you are from?

I’m from Orlando, Florida!

When did you first start dressing and how did it come about?

I started (from what I remember) when I was about 8. I used to turn the shower on and make it sound like I was taking a shower, but I was really trying on my sister’s bathing suit and admiring what I saw in the mirror. As I got a little older and my parents started leaving me at home alone, I started to try things on in my sister’s closet.

How did you come up with your Femme name?

My mom told me when I was younger that if I came out as a girl, I would’ve been named Lindsay Nicole. I hated the Lindsay name but love the Nicole name, so I just added a ty to Kris, and I became Kristy Nicole 🙂

How often do you dress?

I’m married, and she doesn’t know, so it’s very sporadic. I actually threw everything away about 4 years ago and lost the “spirit” to dress for a while. I recently had weight loss surgery and realized that not only was I no longer depressed, but I could wear cute clothes again. So, I started again after saving up a few dollars to get everything again. It was the best decision I’ve made because I’ve never felt more confident.

Are you married/in a relationship? If yes, are you able to share your female self with your partner?

Yes, I’m married, but she doesn’t know I still dress. When we dated, we dated long distance, and one day I was completely dressed all day, and I forgot I was, and she FaceTimed me. She saw me and still brings it up every once in a while today. She hasn’t forgotten that moment, and I believe she still knows. A part of me wants her to find out because I think she would be accepting but I don’t know for sure. The conversation will happen eventually, I just don’t know when for now.

Tell us what goes into getting the perfect photo?

Well, first off, I love taking pics and short videos. They help me remember my special moments. For me, I love being glam. Every time I dress, I try to work on something I thought needed attention from the last dressing session. Makeup is super important to me, and I feel that you MUST have good makeup techniques in order to achieve a feminine appearance. I am one of those girls who has to be fully done up to take an acceptable photo that I would want to show someone else. Obviously, good lighting is important too. And duh, the outfit has to be cute! Heels and all! Go big or go home is my mentality!

What are some of your favorite outfits/fashions?

I absolutely love cute dresses. I have a variety of them (thank you, SHEIN and Amazon). I love a fully done up look that would be acceptable to wear for a dinner out with friends or just a stroll! The best part about dressing is the variety of options!

Stockings or pantyhose?

Pantyhose!

Heels or flats?

Heels, duh 😉

Favorite places to go when dressed?

My friend’s house and then dinner/a fun activity like a movie or something like that.

Go to accessories for a night out?

Heels, earrings, nails, purse, and necklaces/bracelets. Oh, and I can’t forget a cute headband!

Who is/are your female role model(s) and why?

I’d be dishonoring RuPaul if I didn’t say she was a role model. I watched every episode as a teenager of RPDR. Also, Adriana Lavigne, who, in our community, is someone I’ve been following for a long time. Watching her flourish and show the world how confident she is gives me peace of mind. She is an absolute beauty!

Tell us some fun facts about yourself. What are your hobbies (either when dressed or not), likes, things you do in your spare time, or anything else you would like to share?

I love to play golf, go on cruises, and play with my golden retriever!

Any stories you would like to share about yourself and your journey?

Yes! I hope this inspires someone reading. Recently, I came out to an old coworker whom I have known for about 8 years. She was 100% accepting and understood that I wanted to keep this a secret. She let me use her address to ship my packages to. We have talked for quite some time about the perfect outing, and during our discussions, she asked if she could share it with her best friend. So by telling her, I gained another accepting friend, and we now have a fun little group chat. Recently, I confided in her and asked if I should tell my current co-worker, and she pushed me to give it a shot. I couldn’t be happier with the outcome, as I gained yet another confidante! I now have 3 fantastic people that know me as both sides and they don’t treat me any differently when I’m dressed or not. I got my makeup done at Ulta (highly recommend!!!) and then we all got together last week for the first time and had dinner at a nice restaurant, and it was absolutely a dream. Everyone got along, our server was amazing, and we all had a great evening. Although simple, it was a big deal for me, and now I’m hooked and can’t wait to do it again!

If you have social media, what is the best way for others to follow you?

Yes! I am on Instagram. @Kristy.Nicolecd

Before we go, would you like to send a message to your fellow girls out there or a closing statement.

Yes! This is a long journey for all of us. Some are quicker to come out than others, and I fully understand. I’m not completely out myself, but if you can somehow muster up the courage to tell someone who you know you can trust, it will completely change your life. There is no reason in today’s world that you can’t at least tell someone that you trust. Buy yourself the things you want too! We have one life, live it up!
