We are overjoyed that Amber Rayne, this year’s 1st place winner of our Sexy Leg Contest, agreed to be this month’s Eye Candy and share some more of her beautiful pictures with us!
Amber also shares some personal details about when she started crossdressing and what the catalyst was. She also tells us about her wonderful and accepting partner – one of the lucky ones. Let’s find out more about Amber…
Let’s start by telling everyone where you are from?
My name is Amber Rayne and I am from Vancouver Canada. I grew up in Vancouver and love the West Coast lifestyle that it offers, whether it be exploring snowy mountain peaks, hiking through old growth forests or enjoying sun at the beach.
When did you first start dressing and how did it come about?
I think one of the first times I tried on girl’s clothing was when I was in high school, I tried on some of my older sister’s panties that were a silky satin type of material. A little later in my early 20’s when I was a University Student I started to explore wearing different types of sexy men’s underwear. I eventually started to try on some of my girlfriend’s swimsuits and underwear and I was really surprised and impressed by how they looked on me. From that point forward I started wearing all sorts of lingerie, stockings, garters and bodysuits.
How did you come up with your Femme name?
I was looking over lists of Femme names to choose from and many of the names that were suggested I had associated with either family or friends in my past. When I got to the name Amber, I had only met one girl named Amber in my University dorm and she was pretty fun and outgoing so I thought it was a good fit.
I came up with the last name Rayne as it is often quite wet and rainy here in Vancouver, and over the years this has provided me with lots of great times spent indoors dressing up.
How often do you dress?
I often wear panties or bra under my regular clothes to add a little more excitement to my day. When I do get an opportunity to dress up, I like to go all out and shave, do my proper makeup and get all dolled up. I would guess about once a month to every few months I get fully dressed up and enjoy myself.
Are you married/in a relationship? If yes, are you able to share your female self with your partner?
Yes I am married to an amazing understanding partner, she has been very open and accepting of my crossdressing even though it might not be her preference. I feel very lucky to be able to explore my feminine side and have a partner who is supportive of me. She has helped me with my makeup, provided me with advice for putting together more casual looking outfits and even helped me take some photos over the years.
Tell us what goes into getting the perfect photo?
As I mentioned before when I do dress up, I really try hard to do a decent job on my makeup. When I first started practicing makeup, I focused mostly on learning how to achieve a smokey eye type of look. After feeling pretty confident with that I started to watch more makeup tutorials on YouTube this year and they have been very helpful. My wife bought me a nude eyeshadow palette so I have been practicing more natural subtle makeups for a more everyday type of look.
What are some of your favorite outfits/fashions?
Once my makeup is on point, my favorite lingerie to wear are bodysuits. Over the years I’ve built up quite a collection of bodysuits, ranging in many different colors, styles and materials. Stockings and Garters with High Heels are also some of my favorites when I take photos of myself.
Stockings or pantyhose?
I am definitely a Stockings girl and often wear Stay Ups. When I have more time though I also enjoy wearing them with sexy Garters.
Heels or flats?
High heels and boots all the way!
Favorite places to go when dressed?
I spend the majority of my time dressed in the privacy of my home. I also enjoy when my wife and I get a hotel room for an evening as I try to bring along some sexy lingerie to have fun with.
Go to accessories for a night out
Whenever I have gone out, I’m always sure to bring my purse with me and my makeup bag for touch ups. Many of my outfits don’t have any sort of pockets for wallet and ID so the purse is a must.
Who is/are your female role model(s) and why?
I have been very inspired by Lady Gaga and her embracement of the entire LGBTQ+ community. A lot of her music is upbeat dance music which I really enjoy and is fun to dance to when I’m all dolled up.
Tell us some fun facts about yourself. What are your hobbies (either when dressed or not), likes, things you do in your spare time, or anything else you would like to share?
In my spare time I like to go Camping, Hiking or Cycling in the Summertime, or Snowboarding in the Winter. We also spend a good chunk of our time in our garden growing lots of salad, vegetables and flowers.
Any stories you would like to share about yourself and your journey?
The best experience I’ve had as Amber was when I built up the courage to approach a local Boudoir Photo Studio to see if they would be interested in doing a transgender boudoir photo shoot. They were very open and welcoming to the idea so we booked an appointment to include some extra time for more outfit changes and I also added a steamy shower scene to my shoot. I figured if I’m going to do this, I might as well go big and do it right!
The time I spent at the studio was so much fun, first the girls helped sort through my outfits and pick the items they thought would photograph the best. Then we got straight into the makeup chair and I got to have a full makeover which was a real treat. After that we spent the next few hours learning different poses and swapping outfits, I got to be Queen for the day, it was truly a great day!
When I got the final photos I was extremely happy that I built up the courage and decided to go for it. I now have a collection of beautiful photos that showcase Amber and I can cherish them for years to come.
If you have social media, what is the best way for others to follow you?
I’m not big into social media, but you can find me on Instagram @bodysuitgurl.
Before we go, would you like to send a message to your fellow girls out there or a closing statement.
Over the years I’ve come to be more accepting of my crossdressing and be true to myself. My advice is try to enjoy your life and explore your feminine side to see where it may lead you. For those who feel brave enough, I encourage you to approach a local photography studio and try and arrange Femme photos of yourself. Treat yourself, you are worth it!
