This product comparison report is for hip padding solutions for crossdressers that include not just padded panties but silicone hips and silicone padded panties. Updated article May 2019. We have reviewed a selection of visitors to the New Jersey location store and online buyers to learn about their preferred hip and butt enhancement products and why. We also asked them to rate the different garments they purchased regarding:

We compared the 6 most popular garments we sell in the NJ store and online and the findings are interesting when you consider many of the respondents have purchased at least 2 and in some cases up to 3 of the products. What is interesting is that there is no cookie-cutter on solution fits all padded panty or padding solution that works equally well on all crossdressers. Not surprising when you think of all the body-shapes we try to cater to. Each person also has a different ideal in their mind’s eye too and this can be affected by variables such as types of clothing being worn: pants, skirts, dresses or lingerie for example.
We have listed the Top 6 enhancement methods in relation to the numbers we sell with the corresponding feedback given for each in our recent review.
PADDED REAR AND HIPS SHAPING GIRDLE
This has been our number one selling padded panty for the past 2 years. Before our number one seller was our own ‘Sweet Cheeks’ padded panty but this relative newcomer was a big improvement with its more seamless shaping. Appearance/Touch: A big improvement on the previous lumpy and bumpy 2 or 4 pad panties that have gone before. Nicely contoured hip and butt padding to give as close to a realistic female shape as a padded panty can give. The memory foam removable inserts feel more realistic than standard foam padding 8/10. Sizing: Runs tight to actual waist measurement but padded panties are better worn tight to get nice smooth lines. A good run of sizes from 28″ waist all the way to 46″+ so can accommodate most 8/10. Shape/Fit: The most natural shape of all padded panties on the market due to the overlapping contoured pads and tight girdle material used so very little bumpy look even in a tight dress 7/10. Value For Money: At under $50 extremely good value as an American made product. The panty is streets ahead of the usual thin lycra impersonators and the thicker waistband also helps cinch the belly at the same time 8/10.
Overall Verdict: 31/40 – The best padded panty by far and a good starter before you even consider the more realistic silicone enhancers on the market.
SILICONE PADDED PANTY FOR CROSSDRESSERS
One of the recent all-in-one silicone girdles to enter the market place recently. One of the few available at less than $500 and really a solution for crossdressers wanting close to perfection with their shaping. Over a standard padded panty/girdle it has the advantage of being an anatomically correct appearance in the lady genitals area. Appearance/Touch: Any silicone prosthetic has the closest qualities of genuine flesh so hands down winner here and customers love the realistic female genitalia 9/10. Sizing: Will fit waist sizes 26″ to 40″ and important to give the vendor your accurate waist measurement. Stretches and feels like a second layer of skin once on with seamless curves and adds 3 to 4″ to total hip measurement depending on the size of body/waist 8/10. Shape/Fit: The fit is close to perfect as it feels like a tight girdle once you carefully pull it on. The shape is nice gradual realistic curves. Some girls tell us they are able to add more padding inside the hip or butt area as the silicone is incredibly stretchy 8/10. Value for Money: Even at approximately $460 it is out of the reach of most crossdressers budget. But it is well made and looks and feels great when on so appeals to those wanting close to perfection 7/10.
Overall Verdict: 32/40 – If you can afford it then a great realistic padding solution with many possibilities but will be out of the price range of many.
PERFECT SILICONE HIP PADS
Took the scene by storm when launched 3 years ago. Quite a bit more expensive than padded panties but a lot cheaper than the all-in-one silicone girdles that have been around these bridged the gap with none of the ripping issue seen in the silicone girdles. Appearance/Touch: With 3 colors to choose from, their self-adhesive quality, 2 size choices and realistic shape, these are one of the top hip padding solutions for crossdressers today. Being a special silicone compound they feel much more real than a foam pad 9/10. Sizing: With 2 sizes currently available you can add a realistic 2 to 3 inches to your hips in the medium size or a 4 to 5 inch total to your hips with the large – plenty for even the larger crossdresser 9/10. Shape/Fit: Carefully sculpted shape for realism and easy to fit. The self-adhesive surface means it’s ideal for even lingerie-wear or adding pantyhose or panties for a bit of added support 9/10. Value For Money: At under $200 for the medium size they do recommend good value when compared to upwards of $800 for some of the latex/silicone all in one girdle that can break easily. Obviously if on a budget then this is out of your reach but with hip enhancement methods for crossdressers you do tend to get what you pay for 7/10.
Overall Verdict: 34/40 – For realism, the Perfect Silicone Hip Pads can’t be beaten if you are trying to achieve the most realistic and passable look and can afford the price tag.
CHEAP PADDED PANTIES
Need some enhancement but shopping on a budget then these are ideal for you. One continuous molded pad gives ample realistic butt with a little hip too. Appearance/Touch: Available in Black or Beige so can blend with your favorite undergarments and look like a boy-short with generic padding built in. Whilst appearance is ok it feels as though you are wearing a padded panty 6/10. Sizing: Five sizes cover from 26″ waist to 38″ but no more 7/10. Shape/Fit: Gives good butt enhancement but little in the hip so many customers add in a pair of Cloth Covered Pads to boost the hip which then makes this a more complete Hip Padding Solution for Crossdressers 6/10 (8/10 with Hip Pads added). Value for Money: At under $20 a great deal but spend the extra $17.95 for a pair of the cloth covered hip pads and you will get a much more pleasing result 8/10.
Overall Verdict: 27/40 – As a budget enhancement solution this cannot be beaten but we highly recommend you add a pair of the cloth covered hip pads for more realistic shape.
GEL HIP ENHANCEMENT PADS
Our latest addition to our hip pads selection are these non-silicone gel alternative hips made of the same material as our Pals breast forms. Appearance/Touch: Good skin like color and as a porous gel pad can be colored with makeup without running. Feels more like flesh than a foam pad 7/10. Sizing: Two sizes, Medium and Large depending on the amount of thickness and coverage needed 6/10. Shape/Fit: Generic elongated oval shape ideal for hip pads. Can be used in the butt area but not as good a shape as for the hip. These gel pads cannot be used with medical adhesive but slip inside a good quality control top pantyhose and they stay in place all day and give a pleasing subtle curve 7/10. Value for Money: At half the price of Silicone Hip Pads they represent good value but do not have the sculpted realistic shape or the self-adhesive quality of the silicone option 8/10.
Overall Verdict: 28/40 – definitely a step up from foam pads or the cheaper padded panties and do offer an affordable alternative to the silicone hip pads – just not as realistic shape as their more expensive silicone alternative.
HIP AND FANNY PADDED PANTIES
Probably the best value for money quick enhancement method given you get both hip and butt padding in this panty for under $40! Appearance/touch: you get nice smooth shaping compared to many ‘lumpy’ padded panties but they do not compare to touch with the silicone or gel pads. Looks good but feels like foam padding 6/10. Sizing: 5 different sizes ranging from 26 to 44 waist so will work for most crossdressers and the padding adds 4″ to the total hip measure for realistic shape 8/10. Shape/Fit: Most like the shape since the padding is not just a regular oval so the overall enhanced shape is not as generic as some round/oval pads. Tends to give a little more butt projection than many padded panties and just average hip enhancement. Panty is a lycra/spandex mix cycle-short type material so give a good skin type fit 7/10. Value for Money: At under $40 this is a great product for instant femme shaping that won’t break the bank 9/10.
Overall Verdict: 30/40 – As an affordable enhancement solution this can’t be beaten. Adds 4″ to total hip measurement and works well on most body shapes and sizes.
CONCLUSION – It’s clear our top 6 selling hip enhancement solutions for crossdressers have some obvious different appeal. From the price point and realistic appearance, the choice really depends on what the most important factor is for you.
