So to help you be prepared we have put together a selection of outfits and ideas to help you get your wardrobe selection ready for the upcoming hot spell.
LOOK 1: Cold Shoulder Dress
One of our favorite dress styles especially for spring, summer and autumn is a cold shoulder dress. We always try to keep a selection of 2 or 3 different one’s available. They are ‘smart but casual’ so are perfect for daytime wear and you can change up the accessories to wear it in the evening.
With a little more bare flesh showing in the shoulder area you stay cool in the summer months and we make sure they are made of a lighter material that breathes well. Pair with a pair of open toe sandals or comfortable flats and some understated hoop earrings to keep that chill vibe.
LOOK 2: Floral Print Dresses
Nothing says summer more than the perennial favorite – the floral print dress. But not your grandma’s special. We are talking tailored with a short hem and preferably a low neck to get pulse’s racing. Long sleeve or short sleeve options are available so choose according to your comfort level of skin exposure.
Let the dress be the star and use simple accessories and shoes like a pair of strappy sandals and plain silver necklace to give a little more personality.
LOOK 3: The Bodycon Dress
Nothing says style and sophistication for summer like the form-fitting bodycon dress. Bodycon does not have to mean it is over-revealing. It just means well tailored and follows and amplifies the curves of the body. Get it right and you will exude confidence. Make sure all your shapewear is in proportion and on-point. Hi-neck or low-neck, short sleeved or half-sleeve, wear whatever style makes you comfortable. It’s the silhouette that matters here.
Make the most of these shorter-hemlines to show off your legs with either a D’Orsay pump or a pair of nude colored slingbacks. If your bodycon dress has a plunging neckline choose a necklace to emphasize it.
LOOK 4: Flowing Skirts and Form Fitting Tops
Skirt and top combinations are always a summer staple. Whether going down the shore with bare shaved legs and stylish sandals or going for a cocktail ‘al fresco’ at the local Italian with the same combo plus accessories and smart flats to change it up, you simply can’t go wrong.
It’s summer and you’re feeling relaxed. All you need are a pair of pretty but practical flats along with a simple pair of earrings to complete your look. If you are down the shore or going to a friend’s BBQ then maybe an over-the-shoulder beach bag to complete the look.
LOOK 5: Sheer/Semi-Sheer Tops & Bottoms
After two summers spent indoors with little chance to don our girl clothes now is the time to have fun with fashion. Sheer tops and bottoms will be a ‘must have’ this summer whether it’s in a crossdresser gathering at a club or even the bedroom! Sheer doesn’t mean exposing yourself. You can use layers to create a chic and sensual outfit that will be cool for the summer nights and stunning to look at.
Clever use of accessories and shoes can dress the outfit up or down. How about a pair of 6” platform sandals for some summer fun or an open-sided D’Orsay Pump. Let’s go ‘large’ on the jewelry selection too to keep the fun fashion motif going. Maybe some oversize hoop earrings – perfect!
