Groom Your Body Earlier in the Day
Since we have more hair then we would like at times, grooming is one of the first and most important steps but also one of the most time-consuming. A good rule of thumb if you know you will be dressing later that day, would be to give your beard stubble a shave a little earlier. If there is not enough time to shave your legs, remember that a nice pair of opaque stockings can hide that leg hair with no issue and they look great with a nice dress.
Have Your Wig Cleaned and Prepared for Application
A lot of time can be lost brushing out and preparing your wig. A good rule of thumb is to store your wig properly on a stand so it doesn’t tangle or get knotted. The wig should also be properly cleaned after it is worn to keep it looking fresh each time you wear it. Make sure to have a wig made for a man’s larger head so it can go on quickly and without hassle.
Keep Your Body Shaping Items Ready To Go
Having your breast forms, pocket bra, shaping girdle, and gaff ready to go also cuts down on precious minutes. Often times, you may keep your forms inside the pocket bra so all you have to do is put it on. The pocket bra is also a great way to have your breast forms on your body without having to use adhesives to attach them as that process will add a good amount of time to getting dressed.
Have a Makeup Plan Ready to Go
Another time-consuming part of dressing is the makeup application. No matter what, we have to spend the time working on hiding that pesky beard stubble. A good neutralizer, foundation and setting powder will get you on your way. From there, it is up to you on how much time you spend on the rest of the makeup application. At the very least, we recommend some blush, eyeshadow, and lipstick. Your makeup application time will continue to get better the more you do it, so practice makes perfect.
