Which Tucking Gaffs are Best for Comfort v High Compression

Model wearing a black thong gaff for tucking, paired with a black mesh waist trainer.

Shopping for a gaff can feel a little confusing at first. Some people want the strongest tuck possible. Others just want something comfortable enough to wear all day long. Let’s break down the best gaff options, from softest to firmest, so you can find the right fit.

In this article, we’ll cover:

  • The Softest Gaffs for Comfort
  • Don’t Like Thongs? Try a Bikini Gaff
  • The Best Balance of Comfort and Compression
  • The Strongest Gaffs for Compression
  • What You Should Choose?

If Comfort Is A Priority

Our Low Profile Floral and Polka Dot Thong gaffs are the stretchiest gaffs we make. They’re made from a smooth stretch polyester/spandex mix and have a double layered front. The fabric has plenty of give, so it moves with your body. The waistband sits on the hip bone and feels very similar to regular underwear. If you are new to tucking, wearing a gaff for long periods, or simply hate feeling confined, this is usually the style we recommend first. Some people own stronger gaffs, but still wear these most often because they are so comfortable for daily wear.

Don’t Like Thongs? Try a Bikini Gaff

Not everyone enjoys wearing a thong. That’s where our Bikini Gaffs come in. They use a similar smooth polyester/spandex blend material with slightly less stretch. They are also double lined, which gives you a little more support than the printed thong styles. The biggest difference is the cut. You get more coverage across the back and hips while still getting a secure tuck. For many, this style hits the sweet spot. Comfortable enough for everyday wear but supportive enough to feel secure when you’re out and about.

The Best Balance of Comfort and Compression

If someone asks us which gaff gives the best mix of comfort, compression, and versatility, we’d usually point them towards our Low Profile Crossdresser Thong Gaffs. They sit below the hip bone, making them ideal for lower rise jeans, skirts, and tight fitted clothing. The fabric is the same smooth stretch polyester/spandex mix and is used in some of our other styles, but the crotch is triple lined. That extra non-stretch middle layer makes a noticeable difference; you get a flatter tuck plus a smoother front, with minimal panty lines, as it is a thong style.

When You Want The Firmest Tuck

Some outfits need a little extra help. Bodycon dresses, tighter skirts, form-fitting lingerie, and certain fitted outfits can make every detail more visible. That’s where our Firm Tuck Thong Gaffs come in. Unlike our stretch polyester/spandex styles, these use a layered cotton front panel with virtually no stretch. The waistband remains elastic and comfortable, but the cotton panel stays firm. Because it doesn’t stretch, it holds everything much more securely and creates the strongest tuck available in our range. It’s also worth noting that the cotton remains breathable, so you’re not entirely trading comfort for compression. If your goal is the flattest tuck possible without using tape, this is the gaff for you.

So Which Gaff Should You Choose?

If you want the best all rounder, the Low Profile Crossdresser Thong Gaff is hard to beat. And if maximum compression is non-negotiable, the Firm Tuck Thong Gaff is the clear winner. Most end up owning more than one style. A softer gaff for everyday wear, and different firmer styles for those outfits where you want everything looking as smooth as possible.

Would you rather have one versatile gaff or different styles for different occasions? Do you prefer a gaff that you barely notice wearing, or one that provides maximum compression?
