It can be quite confusing with the differently shaped crossdresser breast forms as to how they should sit in a bra. For example, an oval or teardrop shape tapers to a narrow end on one side. Which side faces towards the center cleavage area – the narrow or wider end?

The answer will depend mainly on how you are attaching them. Will you be using a pocket ‘Jiggle’ bra, a regular non-pocketed bra or will you be attaching the breast form directly to the chest with a medical adhesive?

How to Wear Breast Forms

One of the best ways to wear breast forms is using a sheer pocket ‘jiggle’ bra that is made to fit the forms. Luckily most of our breast forms are sold with one or more of our sheer pocket ‘Jiggle’ bras that are made to fit the forms precisely. The benefits of using a crossdresser sheer pocket bra to wear breast forms are that:

  • They hold the forms firmly in place against the chest
  • They have a sheer front which gives the effect of having real feminine breasts
  • The spandex material allows for the breast forms to move (bounce or ‘jiggle’) with the wearer

However, this is not the only way to wear breast forms. There is a regular, non-pocketed bra which is usually solid in the cup and should be underwired for support if it does not have a pocket.

Both these bras will allow you to position and wear breast forms in rather different ways.

How to Position & Wear Breast Forms in the Sheer Pocket ‘Jiggle’ Bra

This is how to wear breast forms in a pocket bra so that they look and feel naturally:

  1. Remove your new pocket bra from the packaging and un-clip the bra band.
  2. Place the bra on a flat surface with the pockets/back of the bra cups facing up.
  3. Hold the pocket of the first cup open and slide one breast form into the pocket (nipple side down) so that the widest side/end of the form is to the center of the bra, forming the cleavage area.

With pocket bras, the narrower end of the form will be to the outer/underarm direction.

  1. Repeat this process on the other side.
  2. Close up the pockets and make sure the forms are in their right place.
  3. Lift the bra off the flat surface and place it onto your chest with your arms through the shoulder straps. Fasten the hooks and adjust the shoulder straps as necessary.
  4. Looking in a mirror, make sure the form sits comfortably in the bottom of the bra pockets and are well centered.

The forms should now be correctly placed, giving a pleasing feminine shape to the upper torso area. Generally, ovals and teardrops have a narrower side that points towards the underarm side – the same is the case with asymmetrical breast forms. Rounded triangles have the longer side running along the bottom of the cup for optimum positioning.

How to Wear & Position Breast Forms in a Non-Pocket Underwire Bra

It is also possible to wear breast forms in a non-pocked underwire bra. However, we do recommend if you are not using a pocket bra that you at least use an underwire bra, which is needed for all but the very smallest breast forms. This is how to wear and fit your forms into an underwire bra.

Remove the underwire bra from the packaging, unclip the band and loosen the shoulder straps.

  1. Put your arms through the shoulder straps and clip up the hooks of the bra. Ensure that the bra is centered and the band is flush against the chest, just below the pectoral muscle.
  2. Take one breast form and place it in the opposite cup to your hand holding the form. If you are wearing a fuller cup bra then the narrow end of the form (oval or teardrop) should be positioned to follow the line of the strap towards the shoulder.
  3. Repeat this process for the other side.
  4. Adjust the shoulder straps so that the forms are positioned flush against the chest wall, but not so tight that the shoulder straps are digging in.
  5. Look in the mirror to ensure the breast forms are resting fully in the bottom of the cups and are filling out the cup entirely. If the cup is not filled fully then you may have bought the wrong size breast forms for your bra or body shape. Our guide to determining your breast form size can help.

Positioning the breast forms correctly in the right sized bra will ensure you achieve the most natural feminine shape so that all your dresses, tops and crossdresser lingerie look the most attractive. By putting some extra effort in positioning your breast forms, you’ll end up having all the right curves in all the right places!

How to Position Breast Forms When Using Breast Form Adhesive

With some breast forms it is also possible to use an adhesive to wear them rather than a pocket bra or non-pocket underwire bra. However, if you’re using an adhesive to keep your breast forms in place, always find the most attractive position first with a regular bra, then make a mark on each side with an eye pencil before you start the adhesive application process. Don’t guess without the use of a bra unless you are very experienced, or you will certainly risk poor positioning.

How Long Can you Wear Breast Forms For?

Most crossdressers will ensure they buy the right form them, thinking about what look they want and more specifically, when they want to wear them. For example, not all breast forms are suitable for sleeping in as they may become damaged. Breast forms which are correctly positioned with the right adhesive can easily be worn for most of the day, we do recommend that they’re removed after around 6-8 hours or so to allow the skin to breathe. If you want to wear them for longer, that’s completely possible, but we recommend instead using a different method, such as the jiggle bra as mentioned above.
