Introducing our Eye Candy of the Month: Sierra Romeo

This month’s Eye Candy Girl should be familiar to fans of our annual contents. She has been a regular for quite some time now and is always someone who can make it to the finals. In fact, she made it to our Top 20 in both the Glamour Girl and Sexy Legs Contests this year. We were so excited to have her sit down with us this month and become our latest Eye Candy Girl. Let’s say hello to Sierra Romeo.

Where are you from?
I’ve lived in the Los Angeles area my whole life. I did go to school out of state, but when that was done, I ended up coming back to L.A.

When did you first start dressing and how did it come about?
I started young. I don’t know when exactly, but I was probably around 9 or 10 when I first started borrowing things from my mother and sister whenever I was alone. At that age, I didn’t have a lot of opportunities to be alone, but it was fun to take advantage of the chance whenever I could. I’m not sure why I did it, but probably from curiosity from seeing how different and fancier girls’ clothes were from boys’, particularly with formal or special occasion outfits, and from seeing occasional bits of crossdressing on tv. Something else that might have influenced me or caused some confusion on gender roles is that I didn’t exactly fall into the typical stereotype for boys who seemed proud to be immature or overly competitive.

How did you come up with your Femme name?
I actually wasn’t looking to create a femme name when I came up with this. I just wanted to create a new user name and profile for browsing though CD/TG content online. I came up with this name by matching the initials of my real name to the phonetic alphabet (Alpha, Bravo, Charlie,…). I’m lucky it turned out to be something nice as there are a lot of combinations that wouldn’t have worked well. I have had some people look at my name and ask if I’d ever been in the military, but that’s not the case. I just thought it was an interesting way of coming up with a use name. By the time I started developing my femme persona and sharing things online, I already had a lot of friends who knew me as Sierra. I realized that it would be a nice femme name for me, and I decided to stick with it.

How often do you dress?
Not often enough. I will occasionally play dress up trying on some things from my closet or try on some things I just bought, but as far as creating the full appearance with some nice makeup and being ready to take pictures, that only happens a few times a year.

Are you married/in a relationship? If yes, are you able to share your female self with your partner?
No, I’m not in a relationship right now. I hope to someday find a special woman who loves both sides of me. I know that if I do get into a serious relationship, I wouldn’t want to keep this secret from my partner, as it’s a part of who I am.

What are some of your favorite outfits/fashions?
I’m kind of a girly girl, and I love dresses. Particularly dresses with a skirt that flows and swishes with any movement. Short and tight dresses are great for when I want to feel sexy, but I love wearing something that has a skirt that I can play with. Putting on a dress with a flowing skirt makes me feel so feminine and it makes me want to twirl, curtsy, or try any other feminine pose. I wear some everyday style dresses, but I really get excited about some fancy evening dresses or costumes that just seem to be designed to make you feel beautiful.

Stockings or pantyhose?
I tend to wear pantyhose more often, but I also like to wear stockings with certain outfits.

Heels or flats?
Of course it has to be heels. Flats might be more practical and easier to walk in, but I love how heels look and feel. Sometimes my feet can hurt from spending all day in heels, but it’s worth it. The only flats I’ve ever worn when dressed were some cute Mary Janes when dressing like a little girl, but I don’t do that look often.

Favorite places to go when dressed?
I actually haven’t gone out often when dressed. Aside from stepping outside to take a few outdoor photos, or some occasional drives, I’ve only really gone out twice while dressed. The first time I went out was to a club called Hamburger Mary’s for their T-Girl Nights. I was with some friends who have been encouraging me to go out, and I thought it would be an easier experience for my first time if I was out where there would be a lot of other crossdressers there, and the fear of getting noticed was gone. I’m not really into going out to clubs, but it was definitely an interesting and fun experience, and I might want to try it again sometime. The only other time I’ve gone out was going to a restaurant with a CD friend of mine. I was a lot more worried this time since I’d be going out into the general public instead of a more controlled environment where it’s normal and acceptable to be dressed. I remember being all dressed up and staring at myself in the mirror for about 20 minutes thinking to myself if I was ready to go out. It definitely helped to have my friend there as she was more confident and goes out dressed all the time. In the end, everything turned out fine, and I’m glad I did it. I hope to be able to get out more often in the future. There are a lot of things that I want to do, from big things like going to a week long TG convention to some simple things like go clothes shopping as a girl and pick out some nice dresses to try on in the dressing room.

Go to accessories for a night out
I’ve never been good at picking out accessories, but I love it when someone can help me pick out some earrings and a necklace to go with my outfit.

Who is/are your female role model(s) and why?
It’s hard to point out a single female role model, but as far as my development as Sierra, there have been many beautiful CD and TG ladies that I’ve come across online that I’ve admired and looked up to for feminine inspiration. Some girls really know how to show a great sense of style and feminine elegance, and watching them has definitely had an influence on my sense of style. They were very important to me when I was developing my femme persona showing me how elegant and feminine I can aspire to be, and even giving me encouragement, and there are some that I still look to for inspiration when thinking of the person I would like to be. I feel lucky to have gotten to know some of them online and even met a few in person, including my friend, Alana, who I like to think of now as my big sister. I try to follow their example and be the best girl I can be, and it’s amazing when I have other girls tell me that I’m an inspiration and a role model to them.

Tell us some fun facts about yourself. What are your hobbies (either when dressed or not), likes, things you do in your spare time, or anything else you would like to share?
Since I don’t dress that often, my hobbies as a girl are mainly just playing dress up and taking pictures. Preferably with a friend, but it’s also a lot of fun on my own. As far as my other half, I do like to practice judo and jujitsu. I’ve been doing that for several years now, although I’ve been taking a break from it during the pandemic. It’s interesting when some people write comments on my photos saying that they’d love to have my legs wrapped around them. They don’t realize that I can probably choke them out with those legs.

Any stories you would like to share about yourself and your journey?
Even though I started dressing at a young age, and I really enjoyed it, I still had feelings of confusion and shame regarding this. I felt guilty about liking something that might be considered wrong. I would still dress occasionally for years later until I was a teenager and I outgrew the things that were available for me to borrow. At this point I just gave into the shame and decided that it was time to quit completely. Still, as much as I pushed it away, the idea of crossdressing still interested me, and I eventually found sites where I could browse pictures or read stories as a way of enjoying crossdressing without actually dressing up. This went on for a long time where I would browse pictures, leave some nice comments, and even make friends with some lovely ladies online. It was amazing to see how beautiful some of these ladies were and how much fun they were having dressing up in some gorgeous dresses and enjoying being girls. Eventually the desire got to be too much for me, and it wasn’t enough to just watch other people enjoy their feminine sides. I was able to get some help from one of the friends I made on Flickr when she sent me some of her old clothes. So, after about 15 years I was able to dress up again. It was exciting to start up again and finally have some dresses of my own in my closet. Still, even if I felt very feminine, without any makeup skills, I would look in the mirror and see a boy playing dress up. I was able to find a makeup artist who works with crossdressers in my area, and with her help I was able to learn how to do my makeup, and I was finally able to see a girl in the mirror for the first time. I knew that this would be a big moment for me, so I made sure to record it ( https://youtu.be/GDlKg9Hk4Yo ). After that, I’ve always been trying to improve myself, and I’m proud of the woman I’ve become.

You are a regular in our annual contests and a fan favorite. Can you offer any advice to girls looking to enter next year?
Thank you for calling me a favorite even though I’ve yet to make it past the Top 20 in a contest. When I look through my photos and think about what to enter, I try to show off some different styles with different poses and different outfits. I know sexy looks tend to get the most attention, but as this is for Glamour Boutique, I also want to show off some glamorous and ladylike looks. I usually like to show a complete image and full body shot rather than just a closeup of my face or legs. Of course, the way you pose is just as important as what you wear, and it can really highlight any features you want to show off. Photos can tell a story, and the way you pose and the expression on your face can display so much emotion and attitude. As for more specific advice, I have to point out that lighting is very important for getting a good quality shot. You can get some excellent photos on a phone as long as you’re in a well lit room. Also when posing, be sure to show a nice smile or other facial expression that shows emotion. Try posing in front of a mirror so you can see how something would look before taking the shot. Sometimes the feminine poses will come naturally, but if you need more ideas, you could try browsing some dress stores online and see how the models there show off the outfits.

If you have social media, what is the best way for others to follow you?
I have a Facebook account that doesn’t get too much use (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100007936066683). I occasionally post some videos on Youtube, (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUjZyzZHhMzDkJuhuDh7BKw), but I don’t take enough videos to post regularly. Since I love taking and sharing pictures, I’m much more active on my flickr account (https://www.flickr.com/photos/53516713@N06/)

Would you like to send a message to your fellow girls out there or give a closing statement?
First of all, thank you for reading this far. It’s been an interesting journey developing my feminine side, but not without some difficulties. I would say my biggest regret regarding this is the time I lost when the guilt and shame caused me to quit something I loved. I feel more confident in myself now. I still keep this side of me a secret from all but a select few people close to me, but that, more to avoid any uncomfortable issues in telling people more than they need to know. If they found out, I wouldn’t deny it, but I’m not so eager to tell everyone. As for me, I no longer feel the shame of accepting that this is a big part of who I am. I also feel that this has made me a better person, and I’m proud of who I’ve become.

Thanks so much Sierra! We loved having you as an Eye Candy Girl and we can’t wait to see you in our contests again next year!
