Eye Candy of the Month: Joanna Jones

Eye Candy of the Month - Joanna Jones

Our September ‘Eye Candy’ is the glamorous Joanna Jones

With 2018 being her first time entering our Glamour Girl contest, Ms. Jones came in a super-respectable 3rd place in our Super-Cougar category. With an eye-catching and flamboyant style of her own, we couldn’t think of a more perfect story to share with you all.

Hi Joanna! Thanks for taking the time to talk to us. First things first, Congratulations on your third place finish in the Super Cougar category in our 2018 Glamour Girl Contest. How did it feel to place third in this year’s Super Cougar category?

It was a pretty good feeling to have an organization give me a placement into the top 10 in my age category. Then seeing that I was near the top has given me excitement to see if I could do better next year.

How many years have you been entering the contest?

This is my first year. I thought, why not. Perhaps it would be interesting how I might stack up with others.

Where are you from?

North Idaho is where I was raised. Home now is Florida, but I also call home to Texas and Hawaii.

Stockings or pantyhose?

If not for my varicose veins I would be a stocking girl for sure all the time. With my love of short dresses, the hint of having the tops possibly show as I move around is quite sexy. But sadly, I need the tight pantyhose to smooth out the look.

How did you come up with your Femme name?

So how did I come up with my name Joanna Jones? Well, the first name is easy. I bet most of you can guess as to my real first name.
The last name I did not put much thought into it. I was trying to come up with something that at least would roll off my tongue type of thing. So several years ago I started using Jones. I did not bother to do a search on it. Bad mistake. It was too late to change it. You see there are tons of “Joanna Jones” on the web searches out there. I should have gone for something unique instead. One that there was not one person with that name. For instance, my first girl that I followed had a perfect name. Very unique to her look. Fantastic, because when you do a search on it only one comes up. Her name…..Heidi Phox. If you are trying to make a presence or splash on the internet, I would suggest coming up with a “one of a kind name”. One that tells the readers exactly what type of person you are. In my case, it was too late. I did not want to start over with a new name at that time period. So I came up with the Joanna Jones “CD” tagline. At least, if you were to do a search on that longer name, I am the only one that comes up. If you do a search on Flickr for Joanna Jones only, there are a bunch.

When did you first start dressing and how did it come about?

My parents had a family of all boys. You knew my mom really wanted a girl since I was the last of the group. She let my hair grow out until I was between two and three years old. The week before my first haircut she along with her girlfriend dressed me as a little girl in a dress with a bow in my long hair. She had a studio photo portrait done at a local Sears. Once in awhile as I grew up, the family photos would come out for all to see. Mine was there and it was always a total embarrassment for me every time. Mom, of course, thought it was so adorable. Around 9 years old, she out of the blue wanted to know if I wanted to wear one of her tops that had shrunk after washing but was just the right size for me. I turned down my mother’s idea and she put that top away in her bags in the closet.

One day just a few weeks later, my family took a train trip to Nebraska. We loved going to the observation car of the train to see all the sights pass by. This day, however, I saw something else that made me ponder. It was a beautiful girl that was wearing the exact same blue girly top with the red laced bow up front, and the nice big sailor white collar with red stripes. I was intrigued. Just thinking about how I had the opportunity to be wearing that same top on this train. Then running into another person wearing that same top. A top that only girls would wear. Boys would never be caught dead in that kind of top. But I had nothing but this on his mind. WOW. Look what I missed!

As soon as my family got back home from vacation, I waited until the very first day that all the other family members went out to do things and left me alone in the house. I immediately went to that closet and slid that girly top with that red bow onto my body.

It was then that Joanna was born. I was in heaven!! I would give anything now to have taken up her offer back then of wearing and keeping her top, hoping for much more to come. As it was, I had to keep my dressing secret for so many years. I had at least one day every week as a kid growing up to raid my mom’s things. There was also an old trunk down stairs where she kept her old vintage items from the 40’s and 50’s. Again, I was in heaven.

When she passed away many years ago, I could never find that old photo of me when she dressed me up as that little girl. Digitalization was not around back then. Now all that I am left with, is trying to recreate it in my mind.

Are you married/in a relationship? If yes, are you able to share your female self with your partner?

My wife has been very supportive throughout our 38 years together. She was fine with us out in public together with me dressing halfway in the early days. No wig or makeup, however. I was given lots of time for vacation adventures by myself with Joanna 24/7. Las Vegas has been my best place for me to be who I am and enjoy myself to its fullest.

For the last 5 years or so, my wife participates 100% with the full Joanna since I have progressed to a level that she is comfortable with me somewhat passing. We have every Saturday as our “Girls day/night out”. We buy clothes together at the malls to try and match as a couple. We created a whole “girls room” where we have her and her makeup room, her and her clothing racks of dresses for our outings together.
For me, this is very fun with my wife at my side. I can create Joanna that still amazes me at what I see in the mirror. I am totally comfortable going out as Joanna. I have been doing this stuff for a very long time.

How often do you dress?

Now that I am retired, all the time. Before that, my wife and I would go out together at least 1-2 times per week, and I would go out on Sundays to do all the shopping.

What are some of your favorite outfits/fashions?

My style is really about standing out from the crowd. Some CD’ers try to blend into everyday life. I am just the opposite. I like all the bows and frilly stuff too.

Heels or flats?

I have a variety of heels and flats. If I can endure wearing them, heels is my choice.

Favorite places to go when dressed?

Las Vegas is my playground.
The skimpier the better. I try to have stuff that shows the most cleavage. Walking down the street looking sexy in Vegas is really a great turn on. Plus you are putting yourself out there for all to see and be seen as either a really nice good looking girl, or just a guy in a dress with great boobs.

In the earlier years, I did not look like I do today but I still did the cleavage thing along with the summer clothes all dripping with a sexy look walking down the strip during the middle of the day. Vegas is weird with tourist. Most wear crappie stuff during the daylight. I like to stand out even during the day. Fourth of July right before the grand fireworks is the most exciting. Here I am with 300,000 people clogging up the streets of the Vegas Strip waiting for the big show, with me in the sexiest dress and look that I could muster. I feel like a queen. Having that many eyes staring at me. I was in heaven. And those stares were good stares. Out of all the thousands of people that I walked through I only heard 3-4 girls as I passed telling their husband or boyfriends that they thought I was a guy. But the guys reactions to the girls were “really? No way!”

Yes it was at night and they may have had a drink or two, but hey give a girl a break:>)
“Flying Pretty” traveling on the plane all dressed up is also my favorite place to go. From wearing my leggings and little girls sweater tops to full on dress, wigs, full makeup, along with body contouring items. It can be thrilling, but at the same time it can be a little scary too. The TSA has always been very nice to me regardless of the degree I am dressed. I do have everything underneath my dress each and every time, but I stay away from the steel bone corsets. I use a non-boned waist cincher.
Walking thru the scanner some of this stuff shows up on the screens. Usually a female TSA agent pats down that area and off I go. The last time however, because our airport in Dallas failed some important screen tests, they told me that they had to do a better job. Going out from Dallas they had to take me to the “private room”. There two female agents patted me down more intensely. I offered to lift up my dress, but they said let’s do a pat down first then will give you options. Well, the pat down went with flying colors. The ladies were very nice to me. One even complimented me on the dress that I was wearing. Off I go to the gates. Have fun flying. No one is going to bother you so long as you act like the girl inside you.

If you have social media, what is the best way for others to follow you?

I have my Flickr page https://www.flickr.com/photos/joannajonescd/
Currently my website is offline, joannajonescd.com. In the last few months I have moved to North Florida. I just assumed that I had regular internet available out in my new rural area before signing the lease. Bummer, I only can get satellite or cell phone for my internet. No DSL or cable available. That makes it impossible to update my site on a regular bases with limited data. Those so called unlimited cell phone data plans come with surprises. I am use to using 250 GB per month with my website and personal use. If I can eventually find a cell phone provider that works somewhat with throttled down data, I will bring my website back online. If not, it might be a couple of years before I can have it up and running.

Before we go, what would you like to say to all your fellow girls out there?

I am touched with reading all of these amazing stories about CD life. Everyone of these articles brings a smile to my face. Some of the time, my eyes tear up a little from all of these “how I started” story lines. I never get tired from reading the same theme. They always have a little bit different spin in the details. However, each story I can relate too. It is truly amazing how we collectively can start in our dressing thinking we are the only one, but find out later in life we are not alone. I would never want it to have been any different where dreams come alive.

Thanks for sharing such great stories with us Joanna and we look forward to following your journey from here!
