Our Eye Candy of the Month is Nikki Hunter
Back in August, we received an email submission for our annual Sexy Legs Contest. When we opened that email and saw Nikki Hunters three photos, our jaws dropped. We knew right then and there that Nikki was special and was going to go far in the contest. At that moment we saw her, we knew we had to have her as an Eye Candy Girl.
We asked, she said yes and now we are happy to say that this Jersey Girl will close out 2018 as our December Eye Candy Girl. So let’s meet Nikki. We are sure you will love her as much as we do!
The winning picture
First off, congratulations! How did it feel when you found out you were this year’s Sexy Legs Winner? I mean you caused quite the stir among our viewers and judges.
It was unbelievable. I’ve never been a beauty queen or even thought I had a chance at something like this. I entered the year before and made the Top 20, which floored me as well. This year when I made the Top 20 and then the Top 10 it was like watching the lottery and getting the first number, then the second and third. I think I will look back on this win as a major turning point in my transition It was a major confidence booster!
Where are you from?
I’m originally from out west but I consider myself a 100% Jersey girl. New Jersey is a beautiful state with very special people. It’s nothing like what you see on TV and sometimes we get a bad rap as being rude or “in your face”, but the truth is, NJ people are some of the kindest and helpful people I’ve ever met. It’s also home to the greatest store serving the CD/TG community! (Glamour Boutique of course!)
How did you come up with your Femme name?
It’s a little bit of a risqué story. Several years ago I was putting together a playlist for my iPod (told you it was a while ago) and collecting songs for a good dance mix. I was listening to various songs and one that just struck a chord with me started off, “I knew a girl named Nikki”. I’ve always been a big Prince fan not only of his pioneering music but his trendsetting fashion. It was a no brainer at that point. I was Nikki!
When did you first start dressing and how did it come about?
I realized at the age of 8 that I wasn’t who society said I was. I actually had an argument with my mother in the 3rd grade that they had made a mistake and assigned me the wrong gender. It was obvious to me that I wasn’t a boy. But growing up in a conservative home, I was not encouraged to seek out my true self, so similar to most girls like me, I had to sneak around. I remember that my mom would save her old pantyhose for various projects and I would sneak a pair out to wear to bed at night. I loved the silky feeling against my legs. I was the same size in clothing as her until late in my teens and when no one was home I would put on her clothes and soon found my love of high heels.
How often do you dress?
Everyday. And as Forrest Gump would say, “And that’s all I have to say about that.”
Are you married/in a relationship? If yes, are you able to share your female self with your partner?
I am in a very supportive relationship with a wonderful woman who accepts me for who I really am, even though we started our relationship long before I went femme. When I came out to her, I really didn’t know what to expect but I knew I loved her and had to come clean. I was still very confused about who I was, but with her help and support, I was able to come out fully and it’s all because of her understanding and backing that I am who I am today. I realize many girls in our community don’t have this support and I count my lucky stars every day to have such a wonderful relationship with my significant other. Not to mention we have fun shopping and sharing outfits!
Stockings or pantyhose?
This is a difficult question. I love the look and tone that is established when wearing stockings. I feel so suggestive and desirable when I have them on. A dear older friend of the family used to say, “There is nothing more elegant and attractive as a woman in thigh high stockings.” But for practical reasons, pantyhose work really well for day to day wear and give a girls legs that smooth, silky look.
Heels or flats?
Heels. High Heels. I’m a really tall girl, but I can’t be without my high heels. When I shop online, the first filter I put in the search is for heels that are 4″ and up. Obviously having won the Sexy Leg contest, my legs are one of my best assets and I’ve learned to accentuate them. Now with that said, I do wear sexy sandals or wedges around the pool in the summertime, but that’s more for the functionality. I think I’d get strange looks if I showed up in a bikini and 5″ platform strappy heels at the pool.
What are some of your favorite outfits/fashions?
I grew up as a child of the 80s, so anything that you’d see in a music video with one of those gorgeous vixens, the outfit is probably in my closet. But at the same time, I try to keep a professional look. I pay very close attention to what women news anchors wear as I consider their fashion both professional and very attractive.
It may seem contradictory, but I gravitate towards the look and attitude of a typical woman of the ’50s. I love to work around the house in classic high heel pumps, form-fitting dress, and sharp looking hair and make-up. I just feel so comfortable with that super femme look that women of the ’50s radiated.
Favorite places to go when dressed?
Anywhere shopping, site seeing or just out to take care of normal day to day needs of life. I’m so happy to be my true self and only regret that I waited so long to come to accept who I really am. But I do love to go to LGBT friendly places which I’m lucky to live in an area of the country that has countless places within a short drive.
Go to accessories for a night out
It’s kind of old school, but I have found a new love in an elegant clutch. To me, nothing says sophistication like a sharply dressed woman who knows how to carry a matching clutch. A close second is a sexy chain belt. Maybe it’s my 80’s roots, but I love the look of a belt chain hanging just off the curve of my hip. Of course, any girl would be amiss without some complimentary jewelry. The trick is to just wear enough to make an outfit pop but not cross over into the gaudy bling appearance.
Who are your female role models and why?
As I said before, I keep a close eye on highly visible professional women, especially those who are news anchors in large markets. I think women have the ability in this day and age to still be very beautiful and feminine while still be taken seriously as professionals. While the trans community has a way to go, I think we can take some notes from the strides cis women have made in being a major contributor to the professional arena.
Tell us some things we may not know about you. What do you enjoy doing in your free time, either En Femme or not? Any hobbies?
This is sad, but I don’t know that I have any hobbies. I’ve said to myself many times, I really need to get one. I’d love to take dance lessons as I think it’s very important to keep one’s body limber and flexible as we get older. I do exercise a lot but never as much as I should. I seem to be obsessed with fashion to the point my significant other won’t watch TV with me anymore because I make comments on outfits and makeup to the point I totally miss the storyline.
Are there any stories you would like to share about yourself and your journey?
I don’t think of myself as someone who has had an unusual journey. I think my journey has been very typical of a girl like me with the exception of the support and love that many are not afforded. I have a ways to go as we all do, and I’m learning every day about who I am and who I want to be. I think I have finally reached over the hurdle of accepting myself as I am and now am enjoying myself and taking the time to smell the roses and enjoy the view.

Before we go, would you like to give a message to your fellow girls out there?
Stay positive! From my personal experience, attitude is such a strong influence on who you are and what you become. I’m not saying we should ignore or deny the bad things that happen to us, but don’t dwell on them. Stay confident, get involved in a good support group and shake off the disappointments and challenges that come your way. Those things make us stronger and better equipped to handle what life deals us. If you’re newly discovering your femme self, and have the ability and means to do so, I highly recommend working with a transgender counselor. We sometimes have to have help working through who we are inside before showing it to the world. Stay strong because you are beautiful!
