Take a break at a crossdressing event
One of the services that small businesses like ours are pleased to offer are shopping and makeovers for customers to come and visit. We like to think we offer a small oasis of welcoming calm to crossdressers who can visit and have the showroom and makeup areas to themselves. As well as being practical for those within reach to ‘try before they buy’ and be sized correctly, we also act as an intimate shopping haven for those wanting the excitement of shopping for girl things without having to shop in public.
There are of course many girls quite confident and content enough to shop in regular stores and we applaud you – shopping is fun and should be enjoyed. But for those requiring a little more discretion then shopping in private gives the customer the joys of feminine browsing and trying on lovely silky garments, for example without fear of being spotted or ‘outed’.
As well as catering to girls in the Tri-state we also receive visits from out of state and indeed have several customers from Australia and Europe who visit us every 12 months or so. So why do girls from out of state fly all the way to the East coast to come shopping with us?
We have customers who live all over N. America with work or family engagements that can bring them to the Tri-state area and therefore an opportunity to visit us and in some cases have a makeover and experience the delights of going out en femme. These same girls often cannot dress and go out where they live for fear of being ‘outed’ either by family or in the wider community.
Where we are located we have 3 hotels within 1/3 mile from our premises – 2 within less than 5 minutes walking distance. Furthermore, when visiting on a weekend we know all the great crossdressing events taking place in the immediate area where you can visit as a stranger but leave with a host of new girl friends.
So what does a typical weekend crossdressing break to NJ look like? Many of our out of state visitors will book weeks in advance though we are able to accommodate at short notice. On the whole folk either stay in NYC or book into one of our neighboring hotels. It’s often convenient to combine a shopping trip to us with a makeover before venturing out – for many this can be their first time out dressed.
In the past week we met in person for the first time ‘J’ a long time online shopper who stopped off to see us on the way to Canada. J booked in advance and liked the idea of combining some shopping, a makeover and then the possibility of going out on the Saturday night to our local CD weekly party ‘Amanda’s Hideaway’ just 20 minutes from here. After arriving early Saturday evening, J did some shopping and then dressed for her makeover with Meredith our wonderful makeup artist in residence. After being pampered for over an hour we then took some lovely pics of the gorgeous J so she had a keepsake of her visit with us. We persuaded J to go to Amanda’s and spend some time with some of our local girls. We called ahead to tell them to expect a new girlfriend and in fact to save time we drove J to the door and escorted her in.
At the end of a fun evening J was given a safe ride back to her hotel by one of her new friends – all in all a very satisfying trip. J does not go out in her home town as she works in a very traditional industry where most people would ‘frown’ on such practices so dressing away from home is a must when going out.

Sometimes girls will come shopping and have a makeover and then take a car into the city with friends and sometimes they just stay here at GlamourBoutique.com and have us take some pictures and just enjoy the privacy and being girlie.
