My name is Susan Michelle and I regard myself as a trans female residing in Adelaide, Australia.
(Photo Chosen in our Glamour Girl Contest) I was grateful and fortunate to place in the recent Glamour Girl contest in the super cougar category. A big thanks to Glamour Boutique and votes from some of you ‘fellow sisters’. Having being married for most of my adult life, most will realize it usually isn’t an easy life I chose to lead, especially with children. However,I have no regrets.
To those of you , like me, who do not wish to be single I will say the key to a perfect companionship is perseverance and honesty. The two have given me positive results and lead me to live a good life. I am blessed to have my Wife’s acceptance and later, that of my adult daughters. So, I am able to lead a good deal of my life as my chosen identity. But, knowing where to draw the line and apply a little give n take with certain family occasions goes a long way with my family. When I hear stories of like minded girls who still live in loneliness and deceit (which was the norm many years ago) it saddens me. It is such a shame with today’s progressive acceptance that they still feel the need to hide themselves away. With that in mind it’s so lovely that there are venues and businesses such as Glamour Boutique who provide a safe haven to shop and receive a makeover. It is a place where you can feel special and safe for at least a few hours …. good for you guys!
Being a mature gal these days I have achieved self confidence over the years and have a good circle of fun loving girlfriends. My pleasures are fairly simple and the cities here are very cosmopolitan and generally quite accepting these days. I find I can shop and socialize at most places without social stigma. Even in quiet Adelaide there are several clubs and pubs which we frequent usually at weekends. I do currently envy you girls in America as you are in Summer. Australia is now getting colder being Winter here. I do have a preference for the warmth and being outside. Summer dresses and beachwear feels so much more feminine and I do like being a girly girl even at my age.
