This month, we are doing an all Glamour Girl Eye Candy with all of this year’s winners. This year’s Super Cougar category may have been it’s best to date. We received so many beautiful photos from our Super Cougars. But in the end, one girl stood heels and stockings above the rest. Congratulations Miss Gina L!! We reached out to Gina with the big news and while we spoke we had lots of questions. Let’s get to know this Super Cougar Champion a little better.
Congratulations Gina on being named our 2020 Glamour Girl Super Cougar Champion! How does it feel to be named this year’s winner?
To me, the Glamour Boutique Glamour Girl contest is really the epitome of all the TG photo contests. So it feels absolutely heavenly to be a winner in this contest. Honestly, so many of the girls in the TG community know about this contest, that it is heartwarming to receive affirmations from girls all across the country and some from outside the country!
Tell us how you go about choosing your outfits for your contest photos and how you choose which photos to submit?
Well, I am out in public a couple of times a week so I pick my outfits to match the destination. If it’s a concert, I dress like my Mum! If it’s a club, then I can be pretty tarty! I take lots of pictures and choose the ones that emphasize the sexy/cocktail side, but keep a certain amount of demure to keep things enticing!
Let’s get to our Eye Candy questions. Let’s start by telling our readers where are you from?
I am a California girl. I was kind of a nerd, and I was never the one people wanted on their sports team. I did a lot of surfing, though!
When did you first start dressing and how did it come about?
As a very young child, I had my little red combination safe that I kept nylons and tights and panties that I pilfered from my older sister. And I just got to wear them in bed at night. I don’t actually remember when I first started. As long as I can remember, I just wanted to be like my older sister and other girls.
Are you married/in a relationship? If yes, are you able to share your female self with your partner? Did she help with your name?
Absolutely! We have been happily married for over 20 years! She knew about my girl side before we got married. But I only dressed at home and rarely back then, due to my busy career and social life. Then everything changed about 15 years ago when I went to a makeover studio in Los Angeles. That was my first time out in public and I went to a club dressed like a hooker and got pulled over by the LA Police and did my first and only breathalyzer test and walked a straight line in 4 inch heels! I came back home and spilled it out to my wife and we have worked it out since. She was initially hesitant but is now my best girlfriend and we share clothes and shoes! She initially called me by a very frumpy girl’s name but I just shortened it to Gina and it works well for me!
How often do you dress?
Before the virus, I had a very busy social life on my two days a week as Gina. I have my TG friends that I am very close to. And I go to plays, concerts, dinners, and dancing with TG and non-TG friends. My wife and I are very close to other TG/GG couples across the country and we travel at least a few times a year to visit with them!
What are some of your favorite outfits/fashions?
I am a dress addict! I love dresses, from short and tight to long and flowing. I have more than I could ever wear. And I take every opportunity to wear them! But for everyday wear, I have my basic cute tops and skinny jeans or above knee skirts that I wear from Home Depot to Shopping Malls. Lately, I’ve gotten some really cute athletic wear outfits that I love!
Stockings or pantyhose?
Just depends! Summer dresses – bare legs. Dancing dresses – pantyhose. Date dresses – stockings, of course!
Heels or flats?
Heels almost always. I love walking (prancing) in them! Even my summer sandals all have little wedges. And going someplace special deserves 3-4 inch heels!
Favorite places to go when dressed?
I am really a very social person! It is more about who I am with than where I go. I can have a wonderful time with my friends at Burger King. Just being my real self with others is the biggest thrill for me.
Go to accessories for a night out
At night, I’m never without my Maybelline SuperStay Always Heather lipstick and my Black Opium by Ives St. Laurent fragrance. But I have to admit that I typically carry a purse with enough accessories inside to be a lethal weapon if swung.
Who is/are your female role model(s) and why?
My goodness, we all try to say we are individuals and independent, but I have to admit that Gina is the spitting image of my mother. She was a very strong woman (look up Asian Tiger Mom). But she also was tiny, social, a tireless homemaker, and a fabulous dancer. Did I mention that I am learning the joys of sewing this year? My clothes fit so much better now!
Tell us some fun facts about yourself. What are your hobbies (either when dressed or not), likes, things you do in your spare time, or anything else you would like to share?
I truly love that I am able to experience both typical boy activities like fast cars, motorcycles, fishing, shooting, running tractors, using power tools. And girl activities like finding the perfect dress, getting mani/pedi’s, obsessing over my hair style, makeup, accessorizing, boys. My life is twice as interesting as it would be without Gina.
Any stories you would like to share about yourself and your journey?
I have frequently pondered what my life would have been like if I had transitioned in the past. To be honest, I have always wanted to be a woman. And I think I would have been accepted as a woman. And I would have rejoiced in it. But sadly, it was not in the cards for me. But I have to say that the way my life turned out with a successful career, a wonderful wife, and the ability to switch back and forth seamlessly really can’t be beat! So I have no regrets!
If you have social media, what is the best way for others to follow you?
I am not much of a social media “influencer”. But I publish pictures on my Flickr site.
Let’s get back to the contest. What advice would you give girls entering the contest next year?
I watch the prize winning girls I really respect, like Heidi and DonnaKelli and many others. The winners are constantly looking around them (whether in Darling or Drab mode) for that perfect location and lighting and pose. Their planning and creativity really pays off! And above all, just be real and happy!
Any final words for our readers and judges?
Just that it takes real courage to be us! We should never doubt that for a moment. We need to be good to ourselves, first! And we need to be good to others because we are all ambassadors for our cause, and we will ultimately be judged by our kindness.

Life is short. No one makes it out of here alive. So do whatever it takes to make sure that on your deathbed, you will not have to say, “I sure wish I had more time to do XXX”. Framing this positively, live life without regrets. Be kind to yourself and be kind to others. It doesn’t take much to make this a better world!
