2020 Grand Champion – Natalie Masara
The time is almost here ladies!! February brings many things. Groundhog Day, Valentine’s Day and being the shortest month of the year. February also brings the start of our annual Glamour Girl Photo Contest. It’s an exciting time for all of us here at Glamour Boutique and we know it’s an exciting time for all of you. Each year our contest grows, with entries from all over the world. The competition also gets tougher every year with a great mix of contest vets and newcomers. These Newcomers come to win too. Last year’s Grand Champion, Natalie Masara won in only her second year in the contest.
So do you want to be our next Glamour Girl? Let’s look at some past winners while we offer you some tips on getting those perfect entry photos.
Let’s start with our age categories. We have 3 categories for our ladies. There are the Kittens for ages under 45, the Cougars for ages 45 to 64, and the Super Cougars for those girls 65 years and up. Here are last year’s winners in each category:
Last year’s 2020 Kitten winner and eventual Grand Champion, Natalie Masara won our judges hearts due to her great makeup work and her gorgeous smile. Make sure your photos show you having fun. Enjoy your moment in front of the camera and let us know it.
Last year’s Cougar winner, Katja Vinovich stood out to our judges because all three of her photos were different. From outfit changes to wig changes, Katja’s ability to change things up made a difference in our hardest age category. Try not to send 3 photos that were taken minutes apart with barely any changes. Let’s see more of you!
Our 2020 Super Cougar winner, Gina L. showed us what we all know about our last age category; that age is just a number. We say that a lot, but it’s true. One thing we must insist on is that no super cougar should shy away from entering due to their age. We’ve had a few Grand Champions over the years that have come from the Super Cougar category.
Last year’s Newcomer winner, Jewels Smith is a perfect example of what the judges love to see. Head to toe, Jewels looks amazing. Her camera angle is at a great angle and she is not at a studio for glamour shots but at home. Use whatever you have to work with and out in some great effort and you can look like a glamour girl anywhere.
2019 Grand Champion Heidi Phox, shows us a great pose here. Body position, camera position and proper lighting are a big part of getting your photos noticed by our judges.
On the flip side, 2018 Grand Champion Jill Smith shows that a visit to a photographers studio for a glamour shoot can be a fun day out and a great way to get those perfect photos for the contest. Since being indoors for photo shoots is a little tough in today’s climate, find a photographer that will take the shoot outside and do a fun outdoor glam session with nature as your backdrop.
Our most important rule for every contest we run: HAVE FUN!! Our contests are meant for fun and a way to get all of you out there to express yourself and show off a bit. It’s all about love for each other and having this platform. We love putting these contests on for all of you. The Glamour Girl Photo Contest is a true highlight for us every year and we love that it continues to grow and for that we thank you!
