Most crossdressers have an Inverted Triangle (shoulders and chest larger than hips) or Rectangle (shoulders, chest and hips basically the same and no defined waist) body shape which is quite different than the more common female Pear or even Hourglass body shape we wish to copy. One solution to achieve a more natural female shape is to slim the waist with the help of body shaping garments like cinchers, girdles and full body shapers. By narrowing the waist, we begin to increase the hip to waist size ratio, one of the keys to transforming from a male to a female shape.
